Sonya Kenkare, MD

Sonya Kenkare has been passionate about aesthetics and helping people feel great in their skin even before she pursued a career in medicine.

She is a board certified dermatologist with extensive experience in the visual arts and the practice of aesthetic medicine and dermatology. She also completed a clinical research fellowship in plastic surgery that enhanced her appreciation for facial form and function.
 
As director of dermatology at Rush River North, Dr. Kenkare has a medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology practice that offers a broad range of procedures and treatments to help patients improve their skin health and appearance. In a cosmetic consultation, Dr. Kenkare wants to learn about your aesthetic goals and create a plan with you to achieve them.

Dr. Kenkare strives to help her patients achieve a more youthful, refreshed and well-rested look while still maintaining a natural appearance. She believes that the regular maintenance of skin results in the best long term outcomes.
 
She also offers cosmetic treatments for those interested in lip augmentation, prevention of skin aging, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for hair loss or facial rejuvenation, acne scarring therapies, Botox, wrinkle treatments, Juvederm, reversing volume loss, dark spots, spider veins, laser resurfacing and a better skin care routine.
 
For each patient, Dr. Kenkare loves being part of the journey toward increased confidence and improved quality of life. Her favorite thing is seeing a patient’s happiness as they appreciate their improved skin and hair.
 
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kenkare loves to play tennis and go to spinning classes. She minored in studio arts and continues to draw and paint. She is also actively involved in the 2020-21 class of the Future Leaders Network for the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
