Mariam Mafee, MD, FAAD, FACMS, is a board-certified Mohs micrographic surgeon at RUSH University Medical Center where she also serves as division chief of dermatological surgery.
Dr. Mafee utilizes her extensive dermatological and surgical expertise to treat patients with a range of skin cancer and other skin conditions. Her areas of focus include Mohs surgery (a minimally invasive skin cancer treatment that preserves healthy tissue), laser and cosmetic dermatology including Botox® and Dysport®, chemical peels, scar treatment, cosmetically removing benign skin lesions, split earlobe reconstruction, microneedling, redness/rosacea treatment and laser hair removal.
Dr. Mafee received her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed an internship at UChicago Medicine at NorthShore University Health System – Evanston and completed residency training at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in dermatology. Dr. Mafee also completed a fellowship at the University of Wisconsin – Madison focused on Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology.
